John enlisted September 25, 1861 as a Private in 9th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Company "A". He was Honorable discharged December 15, 1864 as a Corporal. He born 1840 in Macon Co., Kentucky. He married Sarah J. "Tennie" Cook born January 1, 1847 Macon Co., Kentucky on October 21, 1866. Sarah died March 7. 1908 in Macon Co. John T. died December 1909 in Macon Co. His parents were Joseph Lee born 1801 in North Carolina, died March 19, 1861 and Mary Sidden born 1801 in Virginia and died September 18, 1855.
