Pennington Cemetery

Directions to Pennington Cemetery:
From Summertown take Turnpike (Highway 240), and travel west to Barnesville Road; turn right onto Barnesville Road; a short distance from there (approximately 2 miles), turn left onto David Blue Road. The cemetery is on the south side of the road almost at the point where you turn off Barnesville Road. It is abandoned and was used by just the Pennington family as far as anyone knows. There are about 10 unmarked graves.

Emily C. Pennington born 25 May 1834, died 1 Feb. 1902 (mother)
J. B. Pennington born 11 Feb. 1863, died 12 June 1917
Nancy J. Pennington died 4 Apr. 1945, age 84 yrs., 2 mos., 18 days
